From a very young age I wanted to find a meaning of life, and to make sense of suffering I lived and observed. This desire took me on both academic and practical journey.

At first, I studied nursing specializing in psychiatric care.  Then, after finishing my nursing studies I remained eager to find answers to meaning and human condition, and continued my studies in philosophy, theology and psychology.  Ultimately, becoming a certified psycho-spiritual therapist, certified with Canadian Association for Spiritual Care and registered as a psychotherapist with College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario.

In my clinical practice I worked in a hospital setting for over 20 years, while also opening a private practice in 2015.  In hospital, I worked with people who suffered depression, different degrees of anxiety, different mental health illnesses, faced traumatic events, loss of health, struggled with gender expression, and faced questions about life and death. In my private practice, I have focused on supporting people dealing with life changing transitions.  This includes trauma informed, spiritually integrated grief work, narrative therapy, somatic, CBT, psycho-dynamic approach. 

Research shows that one of the most important elements contributing to effective therapy is sense of safety in therapeutic relationship between client and therapist.  Therefore, my primary goal is to empower any person seeking therapy to have courage to find a therapist with whom they feel safe.  Even, if that is not me.   In my practice, I honour people being experts in their own life; and support them in finding and claiming their life’s meaning. Practicing spiritually integrated psychotherapy, I invite people to bring their own personal spirituality and beliefs about their place in the universe, and relationship with something that is larger than them into the session. I tailor psychotherapeutic modalities to the needs of each client.
